Will Google show Twitter search results?

The pace with which Twitter is approaching to grasp all the focus of web marketers, it has become the center point of discussion over the web-sphere. Optimisation and thus marketing techniques have started to shift in recent past from one dimension to another. Slowly and silently some breakthrough models of newer search engines have emerged knowing the hard-core fact that, it is nearly impossible to beat the search giant Google with respect to data centric, horizontally and vertically spread business model. Twitter is the burning example as to how they have converted a small concept into a real time search engine.

Now the question is how Google will react?
Showing search results from database (which is a bit older one) versus search results from real time discussion/updates, which is again to some extent dependent on the database driven search results. No matter what is happening behind the screen, the mass will prefer the faster and latest one. Google is lagging behind. As Google search results are a mixture of websites, news, videos, maps and so on, Google strategy must include the updates of the social media sites specially Twitter and Facebook. That will help a lot to the search marketers and of course to the Google itself, as optimizers will get motivated with the approach.

One more issue: Discussions are going on to restrict google from crawling the blogs and must be charged, as we are the publishers. http://twitter.com/webreps

Major Search Engines have little to fear

Global recession wouldn’t impact the search business on part of the major search engines, as their business is diversified and spreaded across the Globe. The Google chairman last week has confirmed this. They are not afraid off US recession and economic slowdown. Search engines are operating currently vigorously in the major growing and emerging economies like India, China. This could be a great opportunity to hedge the business risk against slow growth rate of the economy. Anticipating the recession, Fed has taken a good step in reducing the rate of interest successively to 2.25 percent to boost the spending and investment level. More spending will lead to more online search behavior, more purchasing and selling and so bigger search business in turn. The reverse is true also.

Business profitability will be aggravated more in the countries like India where ample opportunities lie in the nature of diversities in terms of religion, language, and geography. Newer product development according to market research made it possible to cater to the different segment of the economy. But caution should be taken to mitigate the downside risk. Global economies are interlinked and any bad news there is US will instantaneously percolate among the other economies. So Search strategist should take care of this aspect of financial crisis in their upcoming algorithm.

Observe the ‘Log out phase’ of Google Analytics

After acquiring Double Click Google Corporation have perhaps the largest online database of customers…. according to language, product, region/country, behavior and so on. The result has been started to reflect in the Google Analytics as well. This is quite interesting observation.

I am engaged with SEO and SEM assignment for a stock broking company here in Calcutta (State: West Bengal. India). The prime language in this state is Bengali. And google have already tracked that info by virtue of their artificial intelligence or through the double click.

While logging out the google analytics, a message one can observe at the left top corner in the regional language (Bengali in this case) that, Wait for a moment. So, google is tracking every aspect of the search world. And they will certainly implement this search behavior in generating revenues.

What is the Catch:  The search become more and more personal and local now-a-days and the search engines are not far from that in developing the algorithm. I had mentioned this issue in my earlier posts. Google will definitely use this feature of local search, language diversification and behavior in their mobile technology. One news has already came that Google is launching Mobile phone . Hats off to the Google strategy.
