The growing focus on QR Code on part of the mobile marketers and advertisers will be influential enough to the website developers and Digital Marketers as well.

While you scan the 2D code all the information you can fetch about the website and the related businesses. This is also useful for the small and mid sized businesses as those might not have the capabilities to run the SEO campaign. They can generate the QR code for the business and make it available as a display ad campaign. This is quite true for other brands as well.

Google, Bing and Yahoo would be interested in showing the QR code in their display network and the cost of the display will function same as pay per load OR pay per 1000 load. Even the desktop and the laptop or the Ipad device users can scan the same code and collect the information.

The QR Code will open a complete new door for the search marketers and they also have to think of ways to optimise the QR code according to the landing page among all the relevant QR codes available. The Search Engines also get benefited as more and more businesses will come for display purpose around the world.

Are you ready for the Qr Code Display?

Link building is one of the most important parts of search engine rankings. Links from the high PR page with related theme valued best. Moreover we are happy if the link is contextual and from a paragraph or sentence.

I would like to share a case study to work with 5 sites at a time in the same industry. This was really an tremendous expeirment for us. The most important part of the job was to rank the inner pages.

Industry: Movers and packers
No of Sites: 5 (A, B, C, D and E)
Site A and B are based at Chicago.
Site C is based on VA.
Site D is at CA.
Site E is based st TX.

All the 5 sites are different with their proprietorship, different owners. The common pages for most of the movers sites are local move, long move, packing, international move etc. We convinced the clients to make them understand the value of link exchange with same industry sites. So they were ready to do the same. But the risk was that we cannot exchange links between A and B as both the sites are based at Chicago. They are competitor to each other.

So we avoid the geographical link exchange risk. So we move in this way: A to C to B to D to E to A. But not for the same page at the same time. We had a mixture of inner pages like packing, interstate move, long distance move and so on. So we hedged the geographical and same page (type) target risk. And the result was terrific even with two word keywords.

So if any agency had got several SEO projects on same industry, they can think off the strategy.

Feedbacks are welcome.

Let me Explain:

We the Search Marketers have to analyse the site performance, marketing strategies, optimisation technique, social media process to engage visitors, develop unique content ideas for link baiting and so on. At the top of all we have to analyse the particular site, the business as a whole to get niche traffic and to increase the conversion rate.

We are actually doing all those things on a regular basis even including the design process (I mean to guide the designer and content writer and programmer) of the website, finally fixing the landing page and usability pattern. So if search marketers are assigned with the Business Analysis Job and to make a roadmap, am sure they can do it. Well few technical knowledge is required like excel sheet operation, advance excel, spss, sas and other related trainings.

Recently I have seen data analysis and mining application (excel) for SEO to segregate the competition and keyword funnels. So that actually instigate me to concentrate more on Back end analysis. Students from the fields like marketing, statistics, mathematics, operation research would get success in the ever dynamic arena. Eventually they can become a good business analyst.

I believe that after having a considerable no of years of experience, it all needs to understand the model, technicalities are to be taken into account eventually.

Feedbacks are welcome

Well the idea is to track the past trends on the evolution of contents or the nature of the web contents and then predict the forms of web contents and thus making your digital marketing strategies accordingly.

We all know the different variations and forms of search engine algos to pull the web pages. The era began with web 1.0 to web 2.0 and now its time to semantic web that is web 3.0. The maximum utiliisation of artificial intelligence.

If we can rank the types of web contents according to their respective speed to reach to the audience what we get:

1. Writing on web pages
2. Blog Writing
3. Discussion Forums
4. Video
5. PPT/Slides
6. Images
7. Social Media
8. Micro Blogging … and so on (plz rectify me if am wrong)

The search rankings also evolved since then. User generated contents have got the top most priority during 2005-2006 and now its the time to have social media contents and the reaching capability to the audience. This theme led to user engagement and associated social signal. Highly signalling and reviewed site get the priority to the search engines while SEO comes in question.

If we can predict the trend via some data analysis or trend analysis, we could be able to move forward as to what will be the search algos next target to put the priority. Like Mobile SEO, Television Contents, latest domestic gadgets with social apps (like samsung refrigerator) etc.

It is highly appreciable if I have your feedback.

In these days Search Engine Optimisation is not restricted to the On page and Off page factors only. Instead, many social influences, likes and dislikes, downloads, bookmarks are really making the ranking job tough for SEOs as a whole. Social media discussions and participations are really important factors to include depending on which the search engines would put values to those brands and pull them up in the SERPs.

In the above diagram I have tried to depict the entire scenario in a brief. The picture also shows why we need the social media involvement and the actual purposes.

Review Sites: These sort of sites are working a word of mouth and written reviews help the users to choose the choice-able product and services. Negative reviews take toll to the name of the brands and thus the ranking factors. We had an experience on this. So customer service is gonna really matter these days and Twitter comes handy for this. (So relationship pattern)

User Engagements: Once we try to engage the users or the visitors around the brand, they will suggest us what to do next. This is somewhat wisdom of crowd and they will in fact drive the sales growth and revenues. The likes would also send a signal to the search engine that how the brand is performing.

Google+: This is really effective for the business. More the plus, more faster will be the rankings via shares and engagements. This is actually Googles own product and so quite obvious that google will put importance to its own product first.

Downloads and Views: This is another component via which the search engines got yo know the visitors preference. The bottomline line is that, what visitors prefer, Google will prefer the same. The value of the contents are really crucial. More research, new stories, data driven content and associated users views, likes and downloads are the key determinants for the overall SEO rankings.

It goes without saying that the importance of analytics is of course to be taken into account to fix the bounce rate, usability structure, exit pattern, and lot more.

I think the tactic I am going to share is known to many of us and already using the same. Still I believe it could be a new way to market the brand via Facebook posts.

Nothing substitute a live example. I have cropped my facebook profile and marked it as red. You can see the term IQecommerce is in blue which means it is hyperlinked to the IQecommerce FB page.

Now there are several sites like debate.fm which is kolkata based a different sort of community developing site via debates and associated conversations. There are news sites and weblogs as well to participate and make comments via the FB social plugins.

Now whenever a person post their comments, the profile link appears (it is thumbrule to keep it with the name of the company name) and it continues so long as the discussion goes on. More discussion, more user generated content, more long tail KWs, more likely to get appeared in the search results and more views to your company brand name. In fact conversion may also possible if the user engagement (likes and talking abouts) part is strong enough in your facebook page.

So at the one hand proper targeted marketing and conversation is important, on the other hand to get the conversion rate intact, your FB page must be well engaged to send the social signal. My understanding is that, the company must hand over the commenting or user engagement process to that team which is versatile and have strong knowledge on various fields.

Am going to study more

Hello all,

After a long gap am here once again to share one more digital media strategy which I think would be more useful in generating niche traffic and of course the value of a link.

As usual I would depict the scenario with an example.

Suppose you are building brand for a consumerware and you have targeted a niche demography and age group. You are in the process to make all round effort (360 degree) in building the brand and also user engagement via Facebook interaction. So you always glad to have the niche traffic and customers on the FB and the site as well.

Initially you have taken the strategy to share quality food related posts at FB wall and thus engagement. So your target would be the Food bloggers and women food bloggers to be your customers. But prior to that you need to engage them and make them loyal with the type of information you are sharing.

The Catch: You can contact them and request them to have a good slideshare presentation (made by you and it is already there in the Slideshare channel) on their blogs and in exchange you guys will make a presentation for her which she will post in her own Blog.

This is something similar to the guest blog posting. But in this case you have to be a bit workholic in preparing her slide.

Gimme feedback.

Search marketers are always in search of quality links from authority domains. Wikipedia is the most wanted in that category. Creating page and getting links from the page is quite usual and involves lot of works as it is hard to pass the admins approval. This is more applicable for the local or global brand businesses.

What for rather new sites?

There is a way. Suppose you have a company site with say more than 10-12 pages. Try to incorporate a BLOG to your site and keep updating with quality posts and industry updates. If you have targeted a Wikipedia page from where you wanna get a link (this is from external links section) say from Mother Teresa Page, you can cover a long article as how Mother influenced your life and career from good to bad. Realistic post would attract more as if you have any association with the organization, you can mention the same in the blog.

Try to put the Post link in the external section. Your Blog would get real value and any post for your clients would also get natural value by means of visitor counts.
